Some politicians run for office and say one thing, then when they get into office, they do another. In Kansas, it was difficult for a constituent to find out how his representative is voting. Most of the votes were not made public. Tarwater went to work and now every single committee meeting and every single vote is broadcast live and archived. Now politicians may be held accountable for their votes, all of them.
Another thing you may be surprised to find out is that they bundle bills together to get things through. In order to get something the constituents do want, representatives are forced to vote for things their constituents would otherwise not want. This just does not make common sense to Tarwater, and it needs to change.
When you re-elect Sean Tarwater, he will continue to fight for transparency in Topeka. It just makes common sense!
